These cookies are a great twist on the regular oatmeal-raisin cookie. Everyone who has tried these always asks for more!
½ C. butter
½ C. shortening
¾ C. sugar
¼ C. packed brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 C. quick cooking oats
1 ½ C. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
½ tsp. salt
¾ C. dried cranberries
½ C. slivered almonds
Mix butter, shortening, vanilla, sugars, & eggs until smooth. Add oats, flour, baking soda, & salt. Mix well. Add cranberries and almonds and mix well. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets and bake at 375 for 8-10 min until golden brown. Cool on wire rack. Makes about 4 dozen cookies!
